Olivia Palermo, former reality star, socialite, fashion blogger and style icon, will become a Guest Creative director and contributor for the high-end nail polish brand Ciaté UK.
Olivia announced the news on her blog and her Instagram account, stating that she is “absolutely thrilled” to have been appointed the role and that she will be busy working on beautiful and innovative formulas and shades. Olivia’s favourite shades will be available later this year as part of limited edition collections.
She says:
"I've been involved with the colors, packaging, marketing, the formulas, and working very closely with [CEO] Charlotte [Knight] to make sure that everything is to the detail of how I like it. Everything is a learning process, and educating yourself on beauty is different than fashion, but they both go hand in hand."
The brand will also launch a cosmetics line too, consisting of lip products, eye shadows, blushers, bronzers and cream highlighters. The beauty products will be released later this year in the USA, before becoming available for purchase in the UK.
We can’t wait!
This is not the first time Olivia has collaborated with other brands. When she appeared on reality TV she worked in the PR department for designer Diane von Furstenberg and the accessories department at Elle. She has also worked with Net-A-Porter, Shutterfly, Aquazzura, Carrera y Carrera, Roberta Freymann and Stuart Weitzman.
Palermo’s new venture with Ciaté is set to be another success aspect of Palermo’s career, which has been going from strength to strength since she appeared in the American reality TV series The City in 2008, a New York based spin-off of The Hills. Since then, Olivia has carved out a successful career in fashion. She was signed to Wilhelmina Models in 2009 and has appeared on the front covers of Elle, Tatler, ASOS Magazine and Marie Claire.
She is frequently seen and photographed wearing the latest styles, whether she is out-and-about or attending fashion events. Here are some of her latest and hottest outfits!
Are you excited about Olivia's Ciaté creations? Do you think you will purchase one of her new nail colours?
